It is never too early to begin preparing for college. However, navigating the college application process can be very daunting. I am happy to help and provide a service to assist students and their families from beginning to end. I begin by helping the student utilize their Naviance account (Scoir or the service your school uses) to help them create a resume, and virtually visit perspective colleges and universities. In addition, if interested, I can conduct a personality test to help students discover careers that are well-suited for their disposition. Then I assist the student in creating a Commonapp account and I link it to their Naviance account so that schools can send documents to perspective colleges. I assist with completing the Commonapp, writing the college essay, supplemental essays and I am also happy to suggest schools based on students' interests and grades. The Commonapp opens for rising seniors August 1st. In addition, I complete the SRAR that many schools require and, for an extra fee, I complete the document to gain NCAA Eligibility for athletes and Slideroom for talent students. If you would like to learn more or have any questions, please call the phone number provided on my business card, 347-200-0274.
I have been helping students apply to college since 2009. The important thing is to find the right fit for the student to meet their academic and social needs. My students have gotten into myriad schools with scholarship. I have had students attend Yale, Princeton, Brown, MIT, UMiami, Macaulay Honors College, Cornell, UMaryland College Park, UVA, Clemson, Alabama, UFlorida, Auburn, U of SC, Ohio State, Michigan State, Northeastern and many more.
As an additional service, I have started completing FAFSA and TAP/HESC forms. These forms open October 1st for seniors.
